  MD NOx Training & Certification

For Owners, Engineers, Operators and Maintenance Technicians
This course covers NOx emissions and regulations and helps prepare students when they sit for local licensing exams.

This course meets the Maryland Department of the Environment’s NOx Regulation Title 26 requiring owners and operators of boilers to attend
training programs on NOx reductions at least once every three years. A certificate is awarded to all participants.
Final Objective: Students will meet Maryland’s training requirement for boiler operators and will come away with an enhanced level of knowledge regarding NOx emissions and reductions, receiving the most updated information on applicable engineering principles, testing procedures, and regulatory compliance.

  • Students learn air criteria air pollutants
  • Defining ground level ozone and its primary source and when it creates the most problems for the environment.
  • Effects of ground level ozone and other pollutants
  • Air quality standards and limits
  • Obtain more knowledge about National, State, and Local Boiler and Pressure Vessel Rules, Regulations, and Codes
